In 1996, I founded AdvancingWomen.com, a site designed to help level the playing field for women and the diversity population in careers and business. AdvancingWomen was the first site on the Net to focus on gender equity, now a staple of women’s site, to offer women and diversity recruiting and to host a journal devoted to research on women’s career and leadership issues. Our web platform has been at the forefront of encouraging women to understand the technical processes behind every business and to move into STEM, science, Technology, Engineering and Math as a way to gain equity in business and careers.

I have provided career and business content to Fortune 500 companies like Citibank and Hearst, been published internationally by Cambridge University Press, by universities, military academies, medical and business societies, and financial organizations in Australia, India, and Saudi Arabia and translated into Mandarin Chinese, reaching a Chinese audience of over 2 million. I also served as financial news editor for Hearst’s MoneyMinded.com/Woman.com.

I am a past member of the Board of Directors of National Association of Women Business Owners ( NAWBO-San Antonio); I have been involved as a web site and web community creator in the formative phase of the Net, experienced and participated in each phase of its growth and evolution. This deep experience has enabled me to work on the Net in a way which fuses strategic business processes with powerful new Net platforms and cutting edge technology. From the beginning, I have used these strategic processes and AdvancingWomen’s position in the women’s and diversity communities to reach out and collaborate with these communities and offer opportunities in top companies, through our job boards, Careers.AdvancingWomen.com and AllTopTechTalent.com.
