Job Description
We are seeking a Testware Development Engineer to join the Dialogic Hardware Engineering team to be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of production level manufacturing tests for the service provider and enterprise markets. The ideal candidate would have experience in scripting languages such as C, Assembly, Python, Perl, linux shell scripts and windows batch files as well as experience with VxWorks, pSOS.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform Design for Testability reviews.
  • Write manufacturing test plans.
  • Develop manufacturing functional/system test processes for NPI.
  • Develop debug tools to assist with failure analysis.
  • Lead the test and debug of prototypes.
  • Deliver test processes to the Contract/ODM Manufacturing partners.
  • Train factory personnel for manufacturing test and debug of products.
  • Reviews of product changes (ECO/MCOs/Deviations, etc.) and update manufacturing test processes.
  • Provide sustaining support for any manufacturing hardware test issues.
  • Provide expert failure analysis support to factory personnel as well as to field repairs group.
  • Track and resolve hardware test issues and insure best in class quality for products.
  • Work with HW engineer and Assist DVT – peek and poke, provide test scripts to help verify HW devices, load flash image, create test loops to use with scope triggering and Provide test for EMI screening
  • Provide mfg test and test plan for new or updated products, work with Mfg Engineers to release to CM
  • New board Bring-up and boot code; familiar with Jtag Emulator(s).


Requirement :

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in developing and supporting manufacturing test processes for assemblies, ideally with ASICs and high-speed signals.
  • Must have solid understanding of manufacturing processes. Experience in dealing with CMs is a PLUS.
  • Must have solid failure analysis skills.
  • Must have solid understanding of network technologies and physical interfaces.
  • Must be competent working with Linux/UNIX-based development systems and tools.
  • Must have prior experience in writing test code for PCIe express/ PCI based systems.
  • Should be well versed with scripting languages such as C, Assembly, Python, Perl, linux shell scripts and windows batch files
  • Experienced with VxWorks, pSOS a plus
  • Basic knowledge of Ethernet – to be able to configure and test Ethernet interfaces
  • Maintain testware on Linux & windows systems (MS Visual Studio).
  • Maintain testware on embedded systems – working with PPC, DSPs, PCIe, I2c, SPI interfaces.
  • Familiar with telecommunication devices – Framers, Time SIot Interchange (TSI) a plus
  • Experienced using Source Control Management Systems such as: ClearCase, Telelogic, SourceSafe, Perforce
  • Able to work independently, reverse engineer, debug, root-cause and solve problems.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
