Job Description
Reporting to the COO of Leasing and Merchant Banking (L&MB), the Technology Business Systems Analyst is responsible for the major responsibilities including but not limited to the list below. Emphasis is on strong communication skills, teamwork and ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders both inside and outside the business units.Major Responsibilities :

Analyze the business processes in L&MB including, but not limited to, the full workflow of operations processing from front to back through various vendor applications :
• Analyze and understand business workflow and application technology support needs within each individual business unit of L&MB and as a whole
• Communicate stakeholder needs by translating business requirements into software or technology requirements
• Make recommendations for solutions or improvements that can be accomplished through existing, alternative uses of technology or new technology
• Document and evaluate required data and information and communicate amongst stakeholders as necessary
Liaison with Enterprise Technology Support (Information Technology Group – ITG):
• Represent stakeholder needs in the development or implementation of various technology projects when appropriate
• Monitor performance of ITG in accordance with established service level agreements, escalating when appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate required changes to production and scheduling user acceptance testing/validation
• Provide recommendations and assist in solving problems as needed in order to meet stakeholders needs
• Coordinates all required technology disaster recovery and ensure application business continuity plans remain effective , current, and recovery time objectives are met and are aligned with those of business needs

Liaison with application vendors (International Decision Systems – IDS):
• Represent stakeholder needs in the development or implementation of various technology projects when appropriate
• Proactively engages with vendor to ensure business remains updated with most current general release of the application , specifically any defect remediation and product enhancement
• Work with the technology application vendors (IDS) to coordinate any updates to production code, new modules or corrections to production data in order to meet stakeholders needs
• Analyze and understand capabilities/reporting of IDS application and act as focal point for requesting changes or new reports.
• Provide recommendations and assist in solving problems as needed in order to meet stakeholders needs

Act as single point of contact for all business units in L&MB and operations areas on technology support topics/needs :
• Develop strategies aligned with business objectives and recommend road maps to realize the benefits of approved strategies
• Coordinate and drive across all relevant departments/ business units to ensure well-orchestrated execution of technology solutions for L&MB
• Develop and maintain productive working relationships with business partners and stakeholders
• Document procedures and create/update user manuals, as needed
• Develop and implement special projects, as needed

Qualifications

  • 4 year college degree required with a major in computer information systems preferred. Other majors with equivalent skills and experience considered. Introductory accounting courses (level ie: 101/102) preferred in college credits.
  • Minimum 5 years of systems analyst, business analyst, project management required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent technology skills including SQL gained in either Oracle or SQL Server environment, Microsoft Reporting Services (MSRS), MS Productivity tools, MS Project
  • Banking experience specifically structured finance and equipment leasing is a plus
  • Proven track record of leading project efforts with 10,000 hours or more
  • Collaborative, and one who can work well across functions and departments
  • Working knowledge of automated Business Process Management (BPM) and content management implementations
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, strong problem solving and solid analytical skills
