Job Description
Install, configure, and support an organization’s computing and networking infrastructure located on-premises and off-site in cloud services . Maintain network hardware and software including servers, network appliances, embedded devices, and key end user computers such as desktops and laptops. Monitor network and systems to ensure available of network and computing resources to all system users and perform necessary maintenance to support availability of such resources. May supervise other Technology Specialists and vendors to plan, coordinate, and implement system and network security measures.

Responsibilities:

Essential Functions Statements:

1. Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components. Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations.

2. Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.

3. Plan, coordinate, and implement network security measures in order to protect data, software, and hardware centered on Payment Card Industry (PCI)
requirements .

4. Operate master consoles in order to monitor the performance of computer systems and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and use.

5. Support adoption of Microsoft Office 365 Suite, emphasizing migration of business processes to Sharepoint.

6. Design, configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software.

7. Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.

8. Confer with systems and network users about how to solve existing system problems.

9. Monitor systems and network performance in order to determine whether adjustments need to be made, and to determine where changes will need to be made in the future.

10. Gather data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements.

11. Analyze equipment performance records for repair or replacement.

12. Maintain logs related to network functions, as well as maintenance and repair records (Help Desk).

13. Research new technology, and implement it or recommend its implementation.

14. Maintain an inventory of parts for emergency repairs.

15. Effectively and efficiently address help desk tickets assigned by supervisor.

16. Update help desk Status Log in a timely manner.

17. Work collaboratively with supervisor to establish timelines and accomplish project goals and objectives.

18. Respond to IT issues after hours and on weekends as needed and assigned by supervisor.

19. Cooperate fully and consistently with IT team members and all GISD employees.

Qualifications:
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from Two Year College or Technical School preferred, or minimum 5 years of related experience.

Experience: Three to five years of progressive experience.

Computer Skills: Skills commensurate with this position.

Certificates & Licenses: Valid California Driver’s License with driving record acceptable to Goodwill’s insurance. Network Administrator’s Certificate.
