Job Description:
Provide Microsoft SQL Database Administration

Architect database solution and implement application multi-layer data.
Focus on Microsoft technologies such as MS SQL server and .NET framework.
Manage OLTP and OLAP database design and implementation on SQL Server.
Develop database schema change management processes.
Perform tuning of SQL servers and T-SQL queries.
Work on high data availability and failover environment on Windows SQL Server.
Design and develop SQL 2008 stored procedures, triggers and views.
Implement SQL scripts.
Extract, load, and join data from multiple databases.
Develop and unit test database applications using .NET (C#, ASP.NET).
Provide expert advice and recommendations related to Microsoft SQL.
Analyze evolving business requirements and design appropriate solutions, involving

technology products, processes, and people.

Research emerging technologies and assess their applicability to the enterprise.
Work closely with technology architects and engineers to ensure designed solutions are realistic and compatible with the database environment.
Work with other organizational units to coordinate operations and support of Microsoft SQL databases across the enterprise.
Develop diagrams and models of solutions for purposes of documentation, discussion, and communication.
Stay abreast of evolving SQL database standards of practice in the IT industry.
Propose Architectural enhancements to critical systems related to Microsoft SQL databases.
Provide training and technology leadership to personnel on relevant Microsoft SQL technologies.

Qualifications

Education:
Four (4) year degree in Computer Science or equivalent

Experience Required:
SQL Server 2008;

Database Administration;

SQL scripting;

Database Application Programming in .NET (C#, ASP.NET);

Enterprise infrastructures;

DoD environments

Skills Required:
Advanced proficiency in the one or more of the following:
SQL Transact-SQL Cold Fusion

Unix DTS C/C++

Database monitoring tool(s), disaster recovery planning

Must be a US Citizen.
