Job Description
BMS is seeking an innovative and passionate Research Scientist to join the Fibrosis Discovery Biology department.
Responsibilities include:

– Establish and utilize appropriate in vitro and ex vivo cellular models to assess role of targets and pathways to support disease understanding in fibrotic diseases. – Work closely with the in vivo group to support characterization of animal models and with the biomarker group to characterize diseased tissues/cells.

– Participate and present scientific data at internal meetings relevant to the area of fibrosis.

Qualifications :
BS or MS with 5+ years of experience in developing cell based assays in Pharmaceutical or Biotech industry. Strong cell biology background and experience with the use of human primary cells. Proficiency in several cell-based technologies including functional assays, flow cytometry, multiplex cytokine/growth factor assessment, qPCR, and others are required. Ability to design experiments based on literature searches. Demonstrated excellence in data handling. Strong communication skills.
