Job Description

Third Shift Press Operator responsible for the operation of Topan Moore presses in various degrees of size and complexity in order to obtain maximum production according to established quality standards.

 

Position Responsibilities:

• Ensures that production goals are met.
• Directs or assists in directing Press Assistant on own press.
• Obtains and maintains register during the make-ready and productions processes.
• Changes required plates, blankets or cylinders.
• Sets folds, adjusts roll mechanisms, tension and guide devices.
• Assists with training of new Press Assistants and Press Operators.
• Adheres to and promotes all safety policies and procedures including, but not limited to the proper handling of hazardous waste, lock out – tag out rules and hearing and eye protection policies.
• Performs other related duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
• It is the responsibility of all employees to follow the requirements of their documented process as defined in the ISO Quality Manual.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers,
• Occasionally required to kneel, crouch, stoop or crawl as well as lifting/moving from 50-70 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 200 pounds.
• Able to work all three shifts and overtime as needed
