Job Description
Responsibilities
- Partner with Department Leaders to identify and prioritize operational improvement needs; develop a strong understanding of the business unit’s environment, strategy, and challenges.
- Assess and map departmental work and processes; engage staff and management through data gathering sessions such as interviews, desk audits, and brainstorming sessions
- Analyze organizational structures, responsibilities, operating procedures, reporting relationships, and workforce.
- Proactively identify sustainable solutions to key operational issues to further strengthen business operations and build upon existing talent pool within the business unit.
- Assemble strategic insights and recommendations into presentation materials for senior level management.
- Support implementation by assisting department with planning and executing recommended changes
- Participate as an integral member of the business unit management team and is able to credibly provide insights to the business to help inform strategic decisions
- Develop operational dashboards using metrics and analytics to provide a snapshot of key performance indicators across the Funds. Identify data collection tools, data sources, benchmarks, and performance targets.
- Facilitate Labor Management teams (LMT) comprised of employees and management to resolve complex operational issues within departments
- Identify organizational development improvements, particularly around culture change during periods of major transition and transformation within the organization
- Perform additional duties and projects as a assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or related field
- Minimum 5 years experience as a business unit manager or business analyst with a background that includes, project management, analyzing business processes and aligning functions/staffing for maximum efficiency
- Energetic self-starter with strong business acumen and analytical ability required; prior management or supervisory experience preferred
- Excellent communication skills – able to articulate verbally, non-verbally, and written to individuals for optimal impact, understanding, retention, and results
- Ability to build deep advisory relationships with staff, managers, and senior leaders across multiple departments
- Must meet performance standards including attendance and punctuality
