Position overview:
We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our expanding Technology organization to work with our global Finance, Purchasing, Inventory, and Commerce Services teams performing business and system analysis on our Microsoft Dynamics AX platform. You?ll be a key contributor on technology projects and initiatives that support, grow, and manage our Microsoft AX platform.
As a Business Analyst for our Microsoft Dynamics AX platform you will work with software developers, other business analysts, project managers, IT, and business users to elicit and document requirements, analyze and guide solutions to ensure they meet the business? needs, help configure and manage AX, and ensure project deliverables match the business requirements.
Responsibilities
Specific duties will include:
Elicit and document business requirements and functional specifications for modifications or integrations the Microsoft Dynamics AX platform and related reporting, and other internal systems with functional and system dependencies on AX.
Analyze current operational procedures, identify problems, and recommend solutions.
Configure and implement Dynamics AX with a primary focus on modules related to either Supply Chain or Finance & Reporting applications.
Serve as project coordinator on enterprise-wide development projects related to the AX platform, including development of the project plan, monitoring and reporting on project progress and advising stakeholders of potential project delays or resources required to complete the project on a timely basis.
Coordinate and collaborate with functional users and IT staff to find solutions to problems identified in testing, resolve issues during system modification, initiate roll-out of modifications, and ensure that proper testing of all system functionality it completed.
Troubleshoot and initiate solutions for user security issues.
Provide end user support and train users on newly delivered functionality.
Serve as application owner for change management documentation required by Sarbanes-Oxley.
Serve as point of contact and manage relationship with our AX partner and vendors.
Requirements
Minimum qualifications:
Implementation experience with ERP products (i.e. Dynamics Axapta, JD Edwards, Baan, Oracle etc.).
Prior experience eliciting and interpreting business and user requirements and providing IT solutions in a Business Analyst role. Experience conducting business requirement gathering sessions.
Demonstrated work experience in a Business Analyst role assisting with the implementation of technology solutions.
Team player with skills for partnering with both technical and non-technical users.
Excellent technical writing skills including drawing process diagrams.
Excellent systems analysis, organizational, problem solving, troubleshooting, time management, oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of industry best practices and current trends.
Microsoft Dynamics AX certification a plus.
Education requirements:
A Bachelor?s degree in a computer, software, information systems, or business administration
