Manager / Senior Manager of Medical Information

Manage Medical Information Services for Neurology, Aesthetics and Dermatology and Neocutis business units including interactions with external vendors and or medical writers. Write, review and/or edit documents ensuring the integration of scientific, medical and regulatory input. Work with Global Medical Affairs and Clinical to ensure that reference papers, reprints and texts are cross-referenced and available to the broader Medical Affairs Team. Ensure that the systems for Medical Information are streamlined (e.g. standard operating procedures) and compliant with relevant guidelines. Recommend and implement necessary strategies to ensure that available medical information reflects current medical and scientific understanding and is maintained in a timely and comprehensive manner. Work with Medical Affairs Team to create and maintain slide resources and Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s) for use in the field by Medical Affairs personnel and maintain metrics on MIR responses, frequency and type.
Manage Medical Information Services (MIS), including interactions with external vendors and or writers, through research, writing, editing, and updates of standard response letters Write, review and/or edit documents ensuring the integration of scientific, medical and regulatory input, performing quality control on the accuracy of communications against source data Respond to incoming calls and emails from Health care Professionals (HCP’s) to provide medical and scientific responses and to field based sales and Medical Information Requests (MIRs) Interacts with Health care professionals as appropriate responding to questions Ensure that the systems for Medical Information are streamlined (e.g. standard operating procedures) and compliant with relevant guidelines Ensure that metrics are developed and maintained for MIR responses, types by product, frequency and manner of request (MIR, phone, email, etc.) Provide early insights into the neurology, dermatology and aesthetics products with education and competitive intelligence as uncovered through Healthcare Care professional interactions Work with Global Medical Affairs and Clinical to ensure that reference papers, reprints and texts are cross-referenced and available to the broader Medical Affairs Team Recommend and implement necessary strategies to ensure that available medical information reflects current medical and scientific understanding and is maintained in a timely and comprehensive manner Work with internal and external authors on abstracts, posters and full manuscripts/publications (both original and review) Required Skills Required Experience Excellent communication skills (medical writing and oral communication skills with an in-depth understanding of the scientific method and clinical applications Familiarity with concepts of clinical paper analysis including clinical research, clinical trial design and biostatistics Sound scientific knowledge with excellent understanding of FDA Guidelines relative to good reprint practices, scientific writing and APLB review Ability to effectively present ideas and document complex medical/scientific concepts in both written and oral communication MS in scientific or health discipline required; PharmD/PHd degree in scientific or health discipline preferred |
