Job Description
This position will provide leadership and direction to the Business Intelligence unit staff. The primary responsibility of this position will be to plan and manage the delivery of client data warehouse initiatives along with associated application technology for the Department of Corrections (DOC). Duties include systems and project planning, estimating, execution, implementation, and ongoing support. This position will review detailed systems specifications to ensure the development and support of new systems and enhancement of existing systems is consistent with agency development and support methodologies, standards, and policies. The individual will work closely with the functional business groups within DOC to ensure effectiveness of business intelligence deployments. This responsibility includes delivery of data warehouse/data marts that meet or exceed business data requirements, integration of high quality source data, development of data models, and innovative business intelligence solutions. In addition, the Project Manager is responsible for recommending the optimal systems of record, information architecture, technology infrastructure, and security for the data warehouse.Special Notes :

Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
Knowledge of Certification or training using Project Management Institute processes and guidelines; understanding in Data Warehousing concepts, Data Analysis, Data Warehouse Architecture, and Business Intelligence; working knowledge of managing projects for the Business Intelligence Community; writing data‐driven reports, working with data to create reports; knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and implementations; data models and relationships between data elements; the ETL process concepts; application support lifecycle; generally accepted business practices; leadership skills; organizational principles and structure of the techniques used in dealing with specialized management problems; effective verbal communication skills, writing techniques and presentation skills; ability to allocate time efficiently, handling multiple demands and competing priorities; and strong problem solving skills and analytical ability.

The starting pay is between $72,000 and $103,681 per year depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. The pay schedule/range is 07-32. A 6-month probationary period is required.
