What’s in it for you?
This position will support the potato agronomy research program at Simplot Plant Sciences. This position is a full-time 6-month internship, starting in June 2015 and ending in December 2015. Essential job functions include but are not limited to:

• Crop and Storage Sampling
• Assist with potato research trial harvest and data collection
• Support Biotech Quality Management Systems (BQMS) and compliance paperwork
• Storage monitoring and assisting with inventory management (fall)
• Crop Progress Reports
• Data entry and analysis
• Special Projects as assigned

Requirements:
Education:
o Current student enrolled in an accredited college/university
o Undergraduate student with research experience or Graduate student preferred
o Agricultural degree seeking students preferred o Must maintain a passing GPA

Knowledge/Skills:
o Ability to read maps to locate fields o Ability to travel, often via airplane o Ability to drive off road vehicles o Strong oral and written communication skills
o Strong computer skills (word and excel)
o Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and work in a variety of conditions (wet, cold, humid)
o Clean driving record
o Farming background preferred

Availability: June 2015 – December 2015
