Job Description & Qualifications
Position Duties:

Drive Direct and Indirect Labor work standards for Body, Paint, and Final assy from pre- through. Drive and maintain Labor Roadmap to Target for all programs in a respective assembly plant from pre- to (the entire planning cycle) through the Labor PAT process and utilizing the Glidepath standard format. Co-chair with PD the Labor PAT for a respective program.
Lead new model Labor Optimization efforts through benchmarking (internal and external), target setting, and tracking process change.
Champion the implementation of GSPAS, APT, and eQPS in the respective assembly plant. Complete the monthly APT assessment for current and future state plans.
Utilize current state assembly plant Cycle Line Layouts to create an optimized new model future state Cycle Line using the Auto Manpower APT Cycle Line Layout Tool.
Integrate Safety, Material Handling, Ergo, Process & Plant Operation request into plant AutoCAD layout.
Work with VO Manufacturing Engineering (Body, Paint and Final), MP&L, and Plant IE departments to identify the total labor impact (Direct and Indirect) for all studies. Layout, incorporating all new product, process and tooling impact (for GPDS XXX programs) into the AutoCAD study layouts in the respective areas – pre- through.

Develop, analyze, and assist with the implementation of plant productivity improvement actions, capacity actions, FPS, Ergonomic improvements, and Health & Safety improvements.
Review and assist plants with cost saving projects, rebalance plans, and launch allocation planning including completing and evaluating time studies using the MODAPTS tool set a s the measurement tool for work standards to ensure consistency .
Support program build phases, including Emphasis Build, from Virtual Builds to Physical Builds including at the assembly plants.
Maintain Direct and Indirect Labor status for your respective areas (Maintenance, QC, MH, etc.) and update necessary documentation – e.g. Glidepath, Labor Variance-Over-Time, Program Status One Pager, Labor by Department summary, Thursday Working Chart, IL AutoCAD layer . Utilize tools like POLR to assist in understanding actual working.
Work with Ergonomics counterparts to drive solutions to assembly ergo issues without adding labor – e.g. Drive station layout to eliminate hoists.

Minimum Requirements:

BS – Engineering
Proficient with Excel, Word and PowerPoint,
Detailed knowledge of assembly plant operations and methods to reduce labor
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Strong planning and organizational skills
Ability to work in a team setting
Willingness to support launches and special assignments at the assembly plants as required.

Preferred Requirements:

BS – Industrial Engineering
Manufacturing experience
Knowledge of GSPAS / APT, WERS and MODAPTS
Future developmental skills – DPA (Digital Pre-Assembly), Vis-Mockup, Discrete Event Simulation, C3PNG, Team Center
