Job DescriptionBachelor’s degree with 4 or more years of experience in technology related position with training in endpoint management applications, technology-related installations, trouble-shooting hardware and software in a networked environment; 6 or more years of experience in a technology related position with training in endpoint management applications, technology-related installations, trouble-shooting hardware and software in a networked environment; OR a combination of education and experience. Basic understanding of security, trouble-shooting, and endpoint management techniques for hardware and software in a networked environment. Knowledge of basic patching and security tools (WSUS, Antivirus, Application Specific patching, etc.) Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to a diverse constituency. PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with implementation/administration/enhancement of LanDesk or similar endpoint management tool, Thin Clients/Zero Clients, and proactive monitoring of multiple computer lab-type environments.
Salary:
$44,808
Nature of Work:
This position engages in the technical and administrative support for the entire university and enables coworkers to deliver similar support via administration and development of endpoint management tools (LanDesk or similar product). This position also provides end user desktop support as needed at the campus level.
Physical requirements/working conditions:
Lift 50 pounds and carry equipment and work in small confined spaces is required. The campus buildings are spread across 645 acres – some work may require a fair amount of walking. Occasional after hours/weekend work required.
