All applicants must have at least 2 years of commercial experience programming in R and at least 2 years of commercial experience programming in SAS, both in production environments. Years of experience to determine level of hire.

Experienced R and SAS programmer to provide analytical consulting services during both presales and project delivery lifecycle. This person will work independently or with teams to define and develop analytical applications using the R language, industry analytics processes, and Revolution Analytics products.

Education:

Minimum Bachelor degree in statistics, computer science, or a closely related field.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Support statistical consulting presales sessions.
• Support statistical and analytical application development for customers.
• Demonstrate statistical excellence using Revolution products.
• Work closely with sales, consulting and clients to define and execute analytical projects.

Top Skills Required:

• Experience programming with R or Revolution R Enterprise software
• Experience programming with Base SAS and SAS statistical procedures
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to establish a trusted relationship with clients and team members
• Demonstrated track record of taking initiative, leading, advocating and seeing issues and projects through to resolution
• Ability to develop, document, and communicate technical material, statistical concepts and application vision to statistical and non-statistical individuals

Senior Level Skills Preferred:

• Ability to combine business and domain knowledge with analytical technologies to demonstrate thought leadership during the sales cycle
• Demonstrated track record of serving as the Technical Lead role in consulting services projects

Preferred:

• Applied statistical experience
• Experience with SPSS or MATLAB
• Knowledge of data management and/or experience with processing large volumes of data
• Experience with clusters/grids (e.g., Hadoop, Microsoft HPC Server, and/or Linux cluster job schedulers)
