Job Description
Job Summary:
The Sales Reporting & Salesforce.com Specialist is responsible for developing and maintaining reports and Salesforce.com (SFDC) to support sales and marketing program effectiveness for field and corporate stakeholders. Through leadership and extensive collaboration with VCI IT and the VCI Field Sales Organization, the Specialist will bridge and develop critical data & information gaps that will enhance business productivity.
The Specialist has advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access Databases, Business Objects (BO) automated reporting, data analysis, SQL and Salesfoce.com. The role requires experience with data integration, business reporting, data requirements gathering, project management and facilitating meetings.

Job Responsibilities:
Reporting

  • Lead the VCI Field IT Workgroup process, establishing consensus from its ideas, and transforming those ideas into value-added reports & tools.
  • Lead the implementation & monitoring of the DW reporting for the department through coordination with IT, Regions and Service Centers.
  • Drive reporting uniformity and data validation at the national, regional, area, district, and dealer levels
  • Support National and Regional reporting on dealer performance for VCI field & Corporate users
  • Create scheduled reports in BO based on common ad-hoc requests
  • Support timely reporting on new National and Regional programs
  • Support fulfillment of Brand data requests at the National and Regional levels

Data & Database

 

  • Ensure Sales Operations projects thoroughly identify scope of requirements which can produce better outcomes of business requirements and expectations
  • Ensure Sales Operations (specific) data element requirements contain full meta data and data lineage usage (definitions, business rules, source-target mappings, code values, etc.)
  • Facilitate department requirements gathering, critical process documentation, and gap analysis to streamline business processes.
  • Support in analyzing and uncovering poor quality data to support the new Data Warehouse (DW) and SFDC efforts.
  • Support the development and design of the Sales Operations & Marketing universes in the DW including tables, fields, formulas, and aggregates to satisfy reporting needs
  • Ensure Sales Operations data is aligned and coordinated with the efforts of the Data Governance Program
  • Identify the business processes that support the request in conjunction with the requested data. This should also point to the specific initiative or strategic that this request is attempting to improve from the WIR2018 strategy or tactical direction
  • Support long term conversion from Access databases to Business Objects.
  • Support training for stakeholders on Business Objects on an as-needed basis, communicating any additions or changes that may occur due to ongoing development to the Data Warehouse and Sales Operations Universe.

Salesforce.com (SFDC)

 

  • Drive ongoing adoption and consistent utilization of SFDC by Field users
  • Support day-to-day Sales Operations and Marketing operational use of SFDC, and conduct periodic training on applications such as Mobile and Outlook Integration
  • Collaborate with SFDC administrators to ensure full adoption of SFDC by field and corporate users.
  • Create user friendly mechanisms that will enhance business intelligence and productivity
  • Develop dashboard reporting via SFDC as well as back end development of fields, objects, and customized reports as necessary.
  • Add, delete and modify fields in support of region business efforts which require homogeneous/uniform tracking.
  • Lead and facilitate interactions with external suppliers as required
  • Perform monthly ‘mass data loads’ of appropriate content.
  • Participate appropriately in IT projects which involve SFDC
  • Lead DW – SFDC data integration efforts

Qualifications :

Required Education:
Bachelors Degree

Required Experience:

  • 5+ years database & reporting/analysis
  • Project Management
  • Competence with Salesforce.com
  • Advanced competencies with MS Excel, MS Access, Business Objects
  • Detailed knowledge and business context of VCI data
