In April 2004 Goldman Sachs launched its operation in Bangalore, India. The Bangalore office was established to provide world class support and services to the firm's global businesses. Career opportunities are available in the Technology, Operations and Finance divisions at Goldman Sachs India. The office is located at Crystal Downs, Embassy Golf Links off Intermediate Ring Road in Bangalore.

Goldman Sachs subsequently opened its Mumbai office in May 2006 with the intention to build a wholly-owned onshore investment banking and securities firm in India. In addition to the creation of a full-service domestic presence, the firm's India strategy will encompass businesses including principal investing and asset management.
