Freescale started its operation in India in 1998 with a mission of making India a center of excellence in SoC Integration & IP design. Over the years, the operations have gone from strength to strength to emerge as a team of professional engineers working tirelessly to move up the value chain and become a vital part of global network of design teams which form the core of Freescale business operations.
Today, India is one of Freescale's two Centers of Excellence in the region (China being the other) and is emerging as the largest design center outside of the U.S.
Soon, the India Design Center will be one of the only design centers outside the U.S. developing and delivering R&D products to all the three major business units—Transportation and Standard Products Group (TSPG), Networking and Computing Systems Group (NCSG) and Wireless and Mobility Systems Group (WMSG).
In line with its business expansion plans Freescale Semiconductor India is on the lookout for talented & motivated team players and task leaders, to work in one of the following business/design groups:
Wireless Design
The business portfolio encompasses 2G, 2.5G & 2.75G baseband processors, entailing project execution cycles spanning from Spec & micro architecture definition to GDSII, followed by silicon validation & field support.
IP Creation & Systems
The business portfolio encompasses IP development & support , participation in micro-architecture definition of next generation products & system verification.
Analog & Memory Design
Besides being one stop shop for all analog needs of designs released out of Freescale India Design, this team has over the years been delivering a battery of mixed signal chipsets for various consumer applications besides contributing in driving memory solutions for various business groups.
Design Methodology
Working with a charter of design flows & methodology evolution for next generation, this team plays a significant role in methodology alignment efforts for Freescale Semiconductor.
Core Technology
The charter of this team encompasses development & integration of high tier DSP core platforms.
Networking Group
The business portfolio encompasses PowerPC based network processors with project execution cycles similar to Wireless Design team.
