<div dir="ltr"><span style="font-family: Arial;">The goal of a national museum devoted to the contributions of women to our country needs an extra push from all of us. We know Congress never does anything without an elbow from their constituents, so let&#8217;s give them one.<br />

<p>In a year when many women have made history, <a class="zem_slink" title="Member of Congress" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Member_of_Congress">Members of Congress</a> have the opportunity to recognize women&#8217;s successes by passing House Resolution (<a class="zem_slink" title="United States House of Representatives" rel="homepage" href="http://www.house.gov">H.R.</a>) 6548 and <a class="zem_slink" title="United States Senate" rel="homepage" href="http://www.senate.gov">Senate</a> bill S. 3528, giving the <a class="zem_slink" title="National Women's History Museum" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Women%27s_History_Museum">National Women&#8217;s History Museum</a> a permanent home.</p>
<p>Representative <a class="zem_slink" title="Carolyn B. Maloney" rel="wikipedia" href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carolyn_B._Maloney">Carolyn B. Maloney</a> (D-NY) introduced H.R. 6548 with bipartisan support on July 17, 2008. On September, 22, 2008, Senator Susan Collins (R-ME) introduced S. 3528 with bipartisan support. Now, we&#8217;ve launched the</p>

<p>( The American Indians have one and it is beautiful and their history and it&#8217;s telling in images and displays makes a powerful, and for me anyway, unforgettable impact, beyond what words alone can do.  I salute American Indians and their achievement but <strong>women are over 50% of the country; surely we deserve one, too</strong>.</p>
