I have been a VA for over 14 years. I started my business from scratch after working with 3 major firms in NYC. I work with individuals to manage and coordinate projects and responsibilities on all levels that they or their staff do not have the time to take care in the most efficient manner. I free up people so they can concentrate on the areas of their businesses that need their expertise. I work with people who are looking for far more than a clerical person; people who are looking for a true professional that they can delegate work to, and know confidently that it is being taken care of and it is something that is off of their “plate or shoulders”. I have clients that I assist weekly, monthly or whenever they are overloaded with their responsibilities. Your clients want to know that you are taking care of the areas that require your expertise, and that you have the professional and adequate assistance to run your business. Working virtually also enables you to assist people in the same state or across the country.

Fantastic article. There’s a lot of beneficial info here, though I did want to let you know something – I am running Ubuntu with the up-to-date beta of Opera, and the look and feel of your website is kind of funky for me. I can figure out the articles, but the navigation doesn’t function so great.
