Diversity Advancing Women - Diversity in the Workplace

The Future Bodes Well for Diversity

Diversity hiring has increased dramatically in recent years. More and more employers are realizing consumers want to deal with companies which "look like them", which reflect the diverisity which is increasing in every region and globally.

But, even with this shift towards greater diversity in hiring practice, it pays to investigate. When you do your research on employers, be sure to look for women friendly companies. "Companies which already have diversity in their ranks, generally, support more diversity of all types, ethnic, gender and orientation. Companies with women as owners, or directors, with substantive numbers in management, have gone on record in a meaningful way as being in support of women in the workplace." When you elect to work for one of them, you are stacking the deck in your favor."
