New online real estate sites are transforming the way realtors do business. Now realtors can direct potential customers to sites where they can view 360 degree photos of homes they might like, and contact realtors for the final viewing, streamlining the process and eliminating a lot of busy work, travel, and wear and tear all the way around.

In the past four years, the number of real-estate sites has grown from around 3,000 to an estimated 250,000 and this explosive growth is expected to continue over the next few years. In 1998, online mortgages represented less than 1 percent of the $1.5 billion mortgage industry , but one estimate predicts they will grow to 25 percent by 2003.
