Young women see the Web simultaneously as an integral part of their life...everyone they know has an email address and most have a personal web page.... and as a new frontier to be explored, a new means of self expression open to any possibility. It is the difference between Time Magazine and HotWired, between Good Housekeeping and Cybergrrl. These hip, young techno-savvy women forged a new nation in cyberspace bringing at a time when the Web itself was almost exclusively male territory. Hooked on the web and accustomed to leveraging their lives with its power, these young women want to keep learning about the new media, to get job leads, mentor, intern and basically keep teaching each other and growing in their skills and knowledge as the media grows. New applications and tools are developed continuously, adding new capabilities and functionality to the Net. As the Web continues its warp speed metamorphosis, it will become increasingly important to find short cuts to keep up with the latest applications and capabilities.
