Job Title: Systems Architect Level I

Job Description:
Cyberspace Solutions is looking for a, TS/SCI favorable Poly cleared, Systems Architect (Expert) Level 1 working the day shift to support an Intelligence Community customer in Herndon, VA.

Architect identifies system integrity issues and solutions for the full system life cycle from concept to disposal. Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Ensures designs are compatible with the architecture and allocates requirements to segments. Analyzes science, engineering, business, and all other data processing problems for application to electronic data processing systems. Analyzes user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate or improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, and scheduling limitations. May analyze or recommend commercially available software.

Job Responsibilities:
The candidate shall support refining and enhancing the customer’s Enterprise architecture structure, framework, and associated governance processes.

This includes:

Providing support to ensure the customer’s organizational is in alignment with the stated business and security objectives of the higher level parent organization Developing, implementing, and executing against a governance process.

Providing engineering strategy recommendations for introducing new technology into the customer’s infrastructure-related business processes.

Acting as an advisor to develop creative, forward thinking strategies that support overall architectural and security posture of the customer’s organization.

Developing program level auditable metrics for the customer’s projects to ensure continued alignment with stated business and security objectives.

Working with appropriate parties to resolve discrepancies between proposed IT systems and enterprise quality and security standard.

Analyzing the customer’s requirements, procedures, and issues to improve existing systems and review computer system capabilities, workflow, security posture, and scheduling limitations.

Designing and developing creative, forward thinking solutions to fulfill new requirements or address complex system or application issues Ensuring the use of good engineering rigor and using industry best practices in the engineering, implementation, and operation of solutions.

Analyzing or recommending commercially or government produced software.

Demonstrated experience with the following activities:

Developing system architectural and security strategies; Matching technical solutions to business and security objectives; Implementing solutions using accepted engineering standards and industry best practices in multi-level, compartmented classified, unclassified, physical and virtual environments; Using accepted enterprise architecture and project management frameworks; Developing creative, forward thinking solutions; Performing security vulnerability identification and remediation; Developing auditable metrics to determine success; Developing documentation for and making presentations to audiences of differing business function, technical understanding, and size; and Functioning as part of a team and as a team leader.

Minimum Requirements:
Demonstrated mastery-level experience in enterprise scaled environments with the following: Building, deploying, and maintaining Microsoft Active Directory forests; and Building, deploying, and maintaining Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems. Expert level experience in enterprise scaled environments with the following: Managing information technology environments using Microsoft System Center, Operations Manager, and Virtual Machine Manager; Working with scripts in a scripting language such as PowerShell, Visual Basic, Bash, etc.; Implementing and Troubleshooting TCP/IP based LAN/WAN networks; and Implementing and Troubleshooting Client rack mounted and Blade Center server platforms.

Desired Skills:

Familiarity, understanding, or knowledge of the following: Microsoft Office suite CentOS and Red Hat Linux operating systems Microsoft Private Cloud and Amazon Commercial Cloud solutions Splunk for log correlation and analysis Microsoft Exchange Microsoft SQL Server Transactional SQL queries Regular expressions (Regex).

Educational Requirements:
8 years of job related experience and a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 6 years of job related experience and a Master’s degree in an Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; or 4 years of job related experience and a Doctorate in an Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Certifications:

At least one Microsoft Certified Engineer or similar certification
