Description
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects within a professional training organizational group and serves as liaison between program management, business unit, project team, and program staff. Candidate serves as direct supervisor for appointed team of skilled technicians and training personnel, and is responsible for the hiring, training, engagement, and execution of routine personnel activities. Develops daily work plans and schedules, plans tasks and project milestones, and leads team meetings to ensure execution of contract requirements. Maintains appropriate skill proficiency within assigned functional area of classified program. Position requires candidate to function as qualified advisor to unit regarding tasks, projects, and specific operations and remains actively engaged in daily operations when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems. Reviews project status and budgets and makes judgments. Manages schedules and prepares and regularly briefs program status reports. Makes decisions that support the accomplishment of discipline objectives, recommends, and implements solutions to mitigate or resolve challenges and risks. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Conducts briefings and participates in technical interchange meetings for internal external representatives concerning specific operations in classified and unclassified environments.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:

Candidate requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Business, or an appropriate technical discipline and a minimum of four (4) years of specialized experience and at least two (2) years lead or supervisory experience. Must be proficient in the daily tasking, cost and scheduling, and earned value that impact contract performance and able to communicate project status, milestones, technical advice, and recommended actions to management staff and customer. Candidate m ust possess working knowledge of internal procedures and practices within the assigned functional area and have experience with technical research and the use of engineering data, technical manuals, and tasking subject matter experts to lead complex projects from analysis to implementation utilizing established processes, development software, and team members . Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required. Must possess US DoD SECRET security clearance or higher. T he ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Business, Education or professional field strongly preferred. Experience as a qualified mechanic, technician, or operator in a technical field such as aircraft, ship, missile, or space systems highly desired. Position requires a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Evolution Learning Management System or similar training development software and ability to quickly learn and become proficient in related software used for training development, project tracking, and presentations. Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.
