The Global Equities Technology Group is seeking a Head of Data & Analytics to manage and enhances the systems that provide historical market data and transaction data services to our trading infrastructure within our clients capital markets. This is a fast paced business with frequently changing needs and requirements.

Details of Job Description:

• Works as a partner with Global Electronic Trading Technology group to innovate and create market leading products
• Provides senior technical oversight and leadership on projects taking place within the Data & Analytics space
• Expert level hands-on development manager leading a team of approx 10 developers in multiple geographies, ensuring we continue to provide unparalleled service to our internal and external clients
• Provide regular status updates to our senior business partners (Managing Director level), and ensure the direction of the business is understood by all members of the team
• Promotes and ensures compliance to the enterprise risk controls of the organization and external regulations
• Occasional travel to, but not limited to, Toronto and London

Professional and Tech Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 10+ years experience in a senior technology management position within capital markets industry
• Extensive knowledge of US market structure, additional knowledge of Canadian and European market structure would be beneficial
• Proven track record in creating, maintaining, and enhancing historical market data repositories consuming high volume trade and quote data (e.g. US Equity market level I/II)
• Thorough understanding of high capacity/low latency infrastructure (e.g. high performance ESB technologies such as Solace, solid state storage devices)
• Experience processing high frequency market data products required (e.g. Exegy, Wombat)
• Extensive knowledge of KDB+ or similar high-performance column orientated technology, experience of Java or C# is also preferred
• Detailed knowledge of other big-data technology such as Hadoop
• Extensive knowledge of FIX Protocol and other industry protocols, e.g. ITCH, OUCH
• University level education ideally specializing in Business or Computer Sciences
