In 1998, FirstLine Schools started the first charter school in New Orleans, which became the highest performing open admission middle school in the city. Position Summary
The Systems Support Manager (SSM) is a key part of the Data team at FirstLine Schools, and plays an important role in ensuring effective and efficient use of data and systems to help drive student results. The SSM serves as the day to day administrator and provides end user supports for key student data systems. The SSM will also work to generate a suite of regular management reporting on student progress. The SSM will also generate ad-hoc reports as requested to support the decision making of management. Finally, the Data Analyst will support data collection processes in support of state and federal compliance reporting.

Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration & End User Support
Manage user accounts and security permissions for end users of student data systems.
Maintain and monitor the helpdesk support system to provide timely, high quality support to end users.
Monitor student information system to ensure high levels of data integrity for state reporting purposes.
Document data entry policies and procedures. Keep protocols up to date with system enhancements.
Design and implement systems maintenance procedures and protocols.
Perform system testing before rolling out new functionality.
Manage process for archiving historical data.
Produce communications to end users as needed.


Management reporting
Produce management reports to track progress against organizational goals
Generate quarterly summary reports summarizing key organizational performance indicators
Generate ad-hoc analyses and reporting as requested.

Qualifications & Characteristics required:
Commitment to the mission and vision of FirstLine Schools
Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding schools for all students
Strong analytical background with experience managing and analyzing large volumes of data
Database administration
Experience working with student information or similar systems; experience with PowerSchool a plus.
Advanced user of Microsoft Office Suite with an emphasis on MS Excel.
Experience with SQL, HTML and Javascript a plus.
Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree
