AudaExplore is currently seeking a Data Management Specialist to join the Decision Sciences team. Position is located in our Dallas (Addison) office.
SUMMARY
AudaExplore is seeking a Data Management Specialist to join our Decision Sciences – Data Management team. This role will aide in improving data quality to support business intelligence and advanced analytics for AudaExplore. The Specialist will support the adoption of the Data Management Program, including the implementation of policies, procedures, and technologies to support data governance and master data management. The specialist will also serve in supporting those data needs from business stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have data and analytics expertise, strong business acumen, and experience working with information technology teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the importance of data processes, data integrity and cleanliness, and the strategic use of data (for both already existing and potential new data sources)
- Provide ongoing support for a Master Data Management solution to establish and use a ‘golden record’ for company assets
- Provide support in the development of Consumer Data Management solution to resolve consumer identifies across platforms and devices (e.g., CDI process)
- Create reporting, compile and prepare metrics to assess overall data quality and success of Data Management program
- Work with functional teams to identify, triage and prioritize data issues and concerns and facilitate issue resolution work sessions with Development team
- Access and Compile large volumes of custom and syndicated data from disparate sources into concise and precise information
- Verify accuracy, develop databases, systems, and programs that facilitate predictive modeling
- Ensure data quality and data documentation
- Solve problems with AudaExplore and Solera business partners on data issues
- Determine information needs and sources of data
- Develop new data sources and data management tools to ensure most effective methods are used
Requirements
EDUCATION, SKILLS and EXPERIENCE
Basic Qualifications
- 3+ years experience managing large volumes of data in a SQL Server environment. Experience with SSIS and SSRS
- 2+ years related industry experience is required
- Previous experience leading projects teams preferred
- Proficient in Excel and Powerpoint
- Ability to handle multiple assignments and meet tight deadlines
- Solid problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Travel up to 30%. Must be available to travel domestically
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with reference data and Master Data Management tools
- Experience working with relational databases and SQL
- Experience working with Big Data and distributed computing tools (MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, etc.)
- Experience working with analysts in a research/modeling environment that leverages tools such as R, SAS, or SPSS
- Experience working with estimatic data strongly preferred
- Knowledge of P&C insurance industry practices and associated data assets
Required Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, Operations Research, Computer Science, or equivalent/related degree required. Master’s preferred.
