Dear Colleagues:

I am undertaking a case study (research) on "Omani Women in Management in the Sultanate of Oman". For the purpose of this research, a questionnaire composed of a section with questions on biographical, academic and professional data followed by a section with three open ended questions has been designed. This questionnaire has been developed to solicit your perceptions on the driving (supporting) forces and resisting (impeding) forces to Omani women in management in the Sultanate of Oman. This is followed by a question on what can be done to promote Omani women in management positions.

Your vantage point as a manager uniquely qualifies you to share your views regarding this issue, therefore your response is essential to this study.

All responses will be strictly confidential and used solely for the purpose of this study. The results will be presented in an aggregate form, thus, your anonymity is guaranteed. Therefore, you are requested not to write or sign your name on the questionnaire.

Please complete the questionnaire and return to the undersigned at your earliest possible convenience, no later than October 25, 1997.

The comprehensive document detailing the findings and recommendations of this study will be placed at the Sultan Qaboos University's Main Library and the College of Commerce & Economics Library.

I thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation and participation in this study. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. With kind regards and salaams, I am
